Drown Earns National Recognition

AMHERST, Mass. - Senior captain Tracey Drown (Nashua, N.H.), of the women's lacrosse team, was named Honorable Mention National Player of the Week by InsideLacrosse.com for her performances in two Minutewomen wins last week.
Drown led UMass to conference road wins, a 13-11 victory at St. Joseph's on April 23rd and a 15-14 triple-overtime win at LaSalle on April 25th. She netted five goals and tallied one assist in each game, including the game-winner in the LaSalle game. Drown also assisted on the game-winner in the victory over St. Joseph's.
Drown is currently tied for eighth all-time at UMass in single-season points with 56 and is tied for ninth all-time at UMass in single-season goals, with 39. Her 56 points lead the team this year, while her 39 goals are second on the team. She also leads the team in game-winning goals with two.
