AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts women's lacrosse team has been listed as a bubble team to crack the top 20 this season in the IWLCA Coaches' Poll. This is the second poll the Minutewomen have received votes in, as they were also listed as on the bubble in the Lacrosse Magazine poll released in January.
Massachusetts finished second in the Atlantic 10 tournament last year after a final-round loss to Temple, and earned an invitation to the ECAC tournament as well. This year's team brings back 13 letterwinners, including eight starters.
"We're very excited about the upcoming season," said Head Coach Carrie Bolduc. "It's definately an honor to be regarded as one of the upper-echelon teams nationally. The fact that this is a coaches' poll also shows that we are being recognized and highly regarded by our opponents and other programs."
