AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts women's lacrosse team has been listed as a bubble team to crack the top 20 this season, according to Lacrosse Magazine's preseason rankings.
Massachusetts finished second in the Atlantic 10 tournament last year after a final-round loss to Temple, and earned an invitation to the ECAC tournament as well. This year's team brings back 13 letterwinners, including eight starters.
"We're very excited about the upcoming season," said Head Coach Carrie Bolduc. "It's definitely an honor to be regarded as one of the upper-echelon teams, especially since we are the only Atlantic 10 team that is either ranked or on the bubble. Hopefully we can carry some of the momentum from last season and from our strong fall season into this year."
