Kristin St. Hilaire earns IWLCA All-America Honors

AMHERST, Mass. - University of Massachusetts women's lacrosse player Kristin St. Hilaire (Mattydale, N.Y.) earned Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association North Region All-America honors it was announced today by committee members.
The Minutewomen's top defender this season, St. Hilaire led Massachusetts in caused turnovers with 37. She scooped up 32 groundballs on the defensive end and committed a team-low four turnovers on the season.
St. Hilaire started in all 16 games this season, after sitting out her freshman campaign recovering from anterior cruciate ligament surgery. She was recently named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference team, as well as the Atlantic 10 All-Tournament team for her efforts in the first round loss to Richmond in the 2002 Atlantic 10 Women's Lacrosse Championships.
St. Hilaire is a graduate of Cicero-North Syracuse High school, where she was a four-year letterwinner and team captain in lacrosse. She earned honorable mention All-America honors as a senior and was a two-time all-league pick in lacrosse and basketball.
