Ingraffea And Naber Honored By Atlantic 10 Coaches

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Senior midfield Rachel Ingraffea (Ithaca, N.Y.) and attack Fay Naber (Suffern, N.Y.) were selected to the 2001 Atlantic 10 All-Conference Women's Lacrosse Team as selected by the conference coaches and announced by the conference office today. Both players are first time honorees.
Ingraffea started all 15 games for the Minutewomen, leading them with a career-high 35 goals, 36 points and 39 ground balls. She has a point in all but three games this season, totaling eight hat tricks. In the latest A-10 rankings, she was ninth in overall scoring and third in A-10 scoring with 18 points. Nationally, Ingraffea is 20th with 2.27 draw controls per game.
Naber, a co-captain, has started 14 of the 15 games she's played this season, leading the team with 16 assists and 37 draw controls. Her 17 goals and 33 points are second among her teammates. In the latest A-10 rankings, she was tied for 11th in overall scoring and ninth in A-10 scoring with 14 points. Nationally, Naber is ranked 14th with 2.47 draw controls per game.
UMass takes on Duquesne in the 2:30 p.m. semifinal game of the Verizon Atlantic 10 Conference Championship Friday, May 4, in Philadelphia, Pa. The winner advances to face the winner of the Temple versus St. Joseph's game at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, May 5, for the conference championship and an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
