Marc Paquet joined the University of Massachusetts sports medicine staff in August 2017. His primary focus is the day-to-day care and treatment of the UMass ice hockey and tennis programs.
Paquet came to UMass following three seasons working for the Calgary Flames organization. From 2014-17, he served as the head athletic trainer for Calgary's American Hockey League affiliates, the Adirondack Flames and the Stockton Heat.
Prior to his time in the AHL, Paquet worked for the Everett Silvertips of the Western Hockey League, where he was the club’s head athletic trainer from 2011-14.
Paquet earned his Master of Education in Kinesiology from Bowling Green in 2011. While at BGSU, he served for two years as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for men’s soccer and softball, in addition to being an assistant for hockey and football.
The Scarborough, Maine, native received his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from the University of New England (Biddeford, Maine) in 2009.
Paquet currently resides in Belchertown, Mass., with his wife, Renee and sons, Alec and Luc.
