Massachusetts Hockey Trio Earns New England All-Star Nods

AMHERST, Mass. – Three members of the 2025-26 Massachusetts hockey squad have been selected as New England Division I Men's All-Stars, the New England Hockey Writers Association announced on Tuesday. Goaltender Michael Hrabal, defenseman Larry Keenan and forward Jack Musa all earned recognition with Hrabal also being named the Leonard Fowle Most Valuable Player.
Ten different schools were represented on the All-Star team, with UMass matching Dartmouth and Northeastern for the most honorees.
Hrabal becomes the third Minuteman in history to be named the Leonard Fowle MVP, joining Bobby Trivigno (2022) and Cale Makar (2019). Hrabal, who recently signed an entry-level contract with the Utah Mammoth, was named a finalist for the 2026 Mike Richter Award (national goaltender of the year), tabbed the Hockey East Player of the Year, Hockey East Goaltender of the Year and a unanimous Hockey East First Team All-Star selection.
Hrabal put together a stellar second half of 2025-26, helping the Minutemen vault from last place to second in the Hockey East standings. From January 1 on, the three-time Hockey East All-Star went 13-4-1 with four shutouts, a 1.33 GAA and a .959 save percentage. He allowed just two goals or less in 16 of those 18 games.
Overall on the season, Hrabal went 19-9-1 with a 1.95 GAA and 837 saves for a .937 save percentage over 29 games in net. He finished his season third in the nation in save percentage, fifth in GAA and sixth in shutouts. A back-to-back winner of National Goaltender of the Month, Hrabal collected four weekly awards from Hockey East and was tabbed the Hockey East Player of the Month for January and the Goaltender of the Month for February.
Musa completed his junior campaign with a career high 36 points on 16 goals and 20 assists over 34 games with a +14 rating, two power-play goals, two shorthanded goals and two game winners. The Second Team Hockey East All-Star registered10 goals and nine assists for 19 points in 22 Hockey East games, an average of 0.86 points per-game.
Keenan saw action in all 36 games and logged 19 points (8g, 11a) with a +8 rating, two power-play goals a shorthanded tally and 47 blocks. A Second Team Hockey East All-Star, Keenan appeared in 24 league games and contributed five goals and nine assists for 14 points while helping the squad finish Hockey East play with the second-fewest goals allowed at 53.
