    Assistant Coach
Amory Houghton joined Fran O'Leary's staff at UMass prior to the 2019 campaign after spending two seasons as a graduate assistant at Aurora University.

“I am really looking forward to working at UMass and with the men’s soccer team,” said Houghton. “I have to thank Fran O’Leary and the rest of the staff for providing me with an opportunity to work and learn from them and the players here at UMass. The program has had a lot of success over the years and I look forward to joining in on the great work being done here. I also have to thank Coach Ryan Lakin, the staff and the players at Aurora University for a great two years.”

During his collegiate career, Houghton was a four-year contributor in the midfield at Franklin Pierce University, where he helped lead the Ravens to the NCAA DII Final Four as a senior. A team captain in his final season, Houghton guided Franklin Pierce to its best record in program history with a 21-1-1 mark while earning NCAA All-Tournament team and all-conference honors.
