Kurt Hunziker joined the University of Massachusetts men's lacrosse staff as an undergraduate volunteer assistant for the 2016-17 school year. Hunziker will assist the program in all facets of daily operation while completing his degree in building and construction technology.
Hunziker completed his competitive career in 2016 as a team captain and a CAA Commissioner's Academic Award winner. In his final season as a short-stick defensive midfielder, Hunziker had personal bests of 17 groundball and three caused turnovers. He finished three seasons with the program with five points (three goals, two assists), 30 groundballs and six caused turnovers.
Prior to attending the University of Massachusetts, Hunziker was a three-year letter-winning midfielder at Masconomet High School with All-Boston Globe, All-Boston Herald and U.S. High School Lacrosse All-America honors as a junior and senior.
