AMHERST, Mass — The university of Massachusetts women's track and field program returned home to host the Commonwealth Invitational on Saturday at the UMass Track & Field Complex, following a performance at the Friar Invitational in Providence, R.I.

Massachusetts returns to action at the UConn Northeast Challenge and Georgia Tech Invitational on April 17-18th.
Providence Invitational:
- Leann Lombardi placed third in the women's 3K steeplechase with a time of 10:52.49.
- Lara Mannes Diaz de Cerio placed second in the women's 3k with a time of 9:35.04. Anna McElhinney finished closely behind with a time of 9:52.62 to take third. Anna Todd placed seventh with a finish of 9:55.44, and Allison Chmielewski rounded out the top-10 with a finish of 10:00.07.
UMass Commonwealth Invitational
- Shakira Cadet took the top spot in the women's long jump with a leap of 19'2.75". Bridget Lee rounded out the podium with a jump of 18'6.50".
- Cadet placed third in the women's triple jump with a hop-skip-jump of 38'1".
- Natalie Krysta placed third in the women's shot put with a toss of 43'11.25".
- Coco Van Nynatten placed third in the women's javelin throw with a toss of 123'2".
- Jaliyah Burns placed fourth in the women's hammer throw with a toss of 163'5".
- Jana DeRaedt, Chloe Guthrie, Jillian Strynar and Tesaira Williams placed third in the women's 4x100m relay with a combined time of 47.80.
- Agnes Thundal paced the women's 1500m run with a time of 4:34.68. Allison Chmielewski rounded out the podium with a finish of 4:37.53. Anna McElhinney (8th) and Maia Zatorska (10th) rounded out the top 10 with times of 4:45.55 and 4:47.57, respectively.
- Skylar Fox placed ninth in the women's 400m dash with a time of 58.56.
- Jillian Strynar sprinted to the fourth-fastest time in the women's 100m dash with a time of 11.98. Chloe Guthrie placed eighth with a finish of
- 12.19.
- Simeone Harrison placed third in the women's 800m dash with a time of 2:17.00. Anna Shaw placed seventh with a finish of 2:18.30.
- Jennifer Williams (2nd) and Tesaira Williams (3rd) rounded out the top-three with times of 14.17 and 14.26, respectively.
- Ingibjorg Sigurdardottir paced the women's 400m hurdles with a time of 1:01.60. Jennifer Williams placed fifth with a time of 1:04.36.
- Jana DeRaedt placed third in the women's 200m dash with a finish of 24.95.
- Ali Murphy, Leila Metres, Jana DeRaedt and Ingibjorg Sigurdardottir paced the women's 4x400m relay with a time of 3:51.88.
- Marielsa McBride placed fourth in the women's high jump with a leap of 5'5.25".
- Van Nynatten took the top spot in the women's discus with a throw of 147'5". Natalie Krysta placed seventh with a toss of 133'0".
