UMass’ Hrabal Earns Second Monthly Honor From Hockey East

AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts hockey goaltender Michael Hrabal has been selected as the Hockey East Goaltender of the Month for February, the league announced on Wednesday. It marks the junior's second monthly honor of the season after he was selected as the Hockey East Player of the Month in January.
Hrabal made 226 saves on 239 shots for a .946 save percentage and posted a 1.85 goals-against average for the month of February with a record of 4-2-1 with one shutout. The Prague, Czechia native had Had 30+ saves in four of seven games on the month, including capping the month with a career high 50 stops in a 3-3 tie against UConn, while going on to turn aside 6-of-7 attempts in the shootout.
Hrabal made 21 stops in a shutout of New Hampshire and allowed two goals or less in five of seven contests. He ranked third in the nation and first in Hockey East in save percentage for the month.
