Massachusetts Men's Lacrosse Duo Earns All-New England Second Team Recognition

AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts senior attackman Trace Hogan and sophomore midfielder Blaise New have been named to the NEILA All-New England Second team, it was announced recently. Both Hogan and New earn the recognition for the first time in their careers.
Hogan, the first UMass player to reach the 50-point mark in a season since 2019, finished with a team-best 59 points on 28 goals and 31 assists over 15 games to go along with 24 ground balls and seven caused turnovers. Overall, the Jupiter, Florida native ended the regular season 16th nationally in assists per-game, first in the Atlantic 10, while ranking fifth in the league in goals per-game (2.00) and first in points per-game (4.14). In league play he put up 20 points over five games to lead the A-10 in points-per-game (4.00) on eight goals and 12 assists. Hogan led the A-10 in assists per-game (2.40) in conference play, as well.
New appeared in all 15 games and finished the season with two goals and five assists for seven points. The Bedford, New York native collected 27 ground balls and registered 11 caused turnovers. He had two multi-point games in his sophomore campaign and logged points in five contests.
