AMHERST, Mass. – Former University of Massachusetts defenseman Ryan Ufko will become the 25th Minuteman to reach the highest level of professional hockey when he makes his National Hockey League debut with the Nashville Predators on Monday night against the Utah Hockey Club. The defenseman signed a three-year, entry level contract with Nashville last March and becomes the 11th player in Greg Carvel's tenure as UMass head coach to play in the NHL.
In his first professional season in 2024-25, Ufko has logged 29 points on eight goals and 21 assists over 71 games with the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League.
