Massachusetts Tennis Heads To Harvard, Hosts Stonehill In Busy Weekend

The Minutewomen travel to Cambridge, Mass., to take on the Crimson on Saturday, before welcoming the Skyhawks to Amherst on Sunday.
AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts tennis travels to Cambridge, Massachusetts, to face Harvard on Saturday, March 8, at 1 p.m., at the Beren Tennis Center. The Minutewomen travel back to Amherst on Sunday, March 9th for a 1 p.m. match against Stonehill at the Bay Road Tennis Center.
Last Time Out
The Minutewomen fell to Dartmouth, 6-1, on the road last Saturday. The Big Green secured the doubles point and had five of six singles points
Scouting Harvard
The Harvard Crimson hold a 5-7 overall record for this season, including a 4-2 record at home. After falling in its first three matches of the season to Baylor, Princeton, and Charlotte, Harvard went on a three-match win streak, defeating Boston College 6-1, Boston University 6-1 and Dartmouth 4-0. Harvard is coming off a 4-1 loss to Memphis last Sunday.
Scouting Stonehill
The Stonehill Skyhawks hold a 5-6 overall record on the season, including a 1-1 record at home. Stonehill has seen recent wins against Providence (5-2) and Binghamton (6-1) within the last few weeks. They are coming off a four-match losing streak against Le Moyne (4-3), Rhode Island (4-0), Boston College (4-1), and Tufts (6-1).
Weekly Honors
Faessler collected the first Atlantic 10 weekly award of the year for the Minutewomen on February 4. The junior tabbed the A-10 Player of the Week accolade, which marked the first weekly honor of her career. On the week, Faessler went 2-0 in singles competition and 1-0 in doubles play.
