Tye Set To Compete In ITA All-American Championships Pre-Qualifying singles Round

Amelia Tye is the first Minutewoman to be selected to the event in back-to-back seasons.

AMHERST, Mass. – For the second straight year, senior Amelia Tye has been selected to compete in the singles competition at the ITA Women's All-American Championships on Saturday, September 19, through Sunday, September 27, at the Cary Tennis Park in Cary, North Carolina.

Tye was selected to compete in the Pre-Qualifying Round, is the only Minutewoman in program history to compete in back-to-back seasons at the All-American Championships, after playing in the fall of 2025. Janja Kovacevic competed for the tennis program in the Pre-Qualifying Round during the 2019 season.

During the 2025-26 season, the London, England, native, registered an 11-7 overall singles record, including a 7-1 record in the Mid-American Conference. Tye competed primarily at No. 2 singles, going 8-5 overall in the slot. She also spent time at No. 1 singles, holding a 3-2 record.

Tye is one of 160 players selected to the Pre-Qualifying Singles, and the only member representing the MAC, so far.

The ITA Women's All-American Championships have featured the nation's top NCAA Division I players and have been a pioneer in women's college tennis since 1983. In addition, the event has created milestones that have directly influenced the popularity pf women's collegiate tennis over the years.
