Minutewomen host Stonehill on Sunday, March 9, at Bay Road Indoor Tennis Center.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – University of Massachusetts tennis dropped a 5-0 match to Harvard on the road at the Murr Center on Saturday afternoon.
The Crimson grabbed the doubles point with wins at court one and court three. Mariana Campino and Belle Jonglertrakul were ahead, 5-2, at No. 2 before the doubles came to an end.
Harvard continued to dominate in the singles competition, securing four more points. Kavya Karra of Harvard earned a quick 6-0, 6-0win over Owethu Makhanya at court No. 6, before Charlotte Owensby defeated Jonglertrakul, 6-2, 6-2, at No. 2. The Crimson's Holly Fischer won 6-1, 6-2 over Campino at No. 1 singles with Kate Kim of Harvard clinching the match point with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Amelia Tye at court No. 4.
Massachusetts returns home to host Stonehill on Sunday, March 9, at the Bay Road Indoor Tennis Center for a 1 p.m. match.
