Massachusetts Tennis Hosts Brown For Saturday Match

The Minutewomen welcome the Bears to Amherst on Saturday, March 15, for a 1 p.m. match.
AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts tennis hosts Brown University on Saturday, March 15, at the Bay Road Indoor Tennis Center at 1 p.m.
Last Time Out
The Minutewomen claimed a 6-1 victory over Stonehill last Sunday to improve 5-4 overall on the year.
After the Skyhawks took the doubles point, Massachusetts swept the singles competition, securing points at all six courts. Belle Jonglertrakul clinched the match point with a 6-4, 6-0 win over her opponent at court No. 2.
Scouting Brown
The Brown Bears hold a 6-5 overall record on the season, including an 0-3 record on the road. Brown is currently on a four-match win streak, picking up win over Stony Brook (7-0), Boston University (5-2), Rhode Island (5-2) and Fordham (5-2). The Bears had two victories to start the season, topping Boston College, 4-3, and Bryant, 6-1.
Weekly Honors
Faessler collected the first Atlantic 10 weekly award of the year for the Minutewomen on February 4. The junior tabbed the A-10 Player of the Week accolade, which marked the first weekly honor of her career. On the week, Faessler went 2-0 in singles competition and 1-0 in doubles play.
