March 11, 2025 | Men's Swimming & Diving, Women's Swimming & Diving

Andrew Bell qualifies for the NCAA Championships in both the one- and three-meter dive.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. –  Junior Andrew Bell advanced to the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships after claiming the top spot in the men's three-meter dive the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships, hosted by Rutgers, at the Sonny Werblin Recreation Center on Tuesday afternoon.

Bell is the only Minuteman diver in school history to represent Massachusetts at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in back-to-back years. It also marks the third time a Minuteman diver will attend the event, as Bell qualified in both the one- and three-meter events in 2024 and Jason Cook ('12) became the first diver to attend in 2009.

Bell placed first in the Prelims/Quarterfinals of the three-meter with a score of 399.45 to move on to the Finals. In the Finals, the South Windsor, Connecticut, native, had a 12-dive total of 773.90 to pick up the gold medal and earn his spot at the NCAA Championships. His 773.90 mark set a new school record, surpassing Jason Cook's 2011 12-dive record of 743.90.

One day one of the NCAA Zone A Championships, Bell secured the gold in the Finals. Combined with his prelims score, the junior finished with a total of 747.25 on the day to solidify his spot at the NCAA Championships. His tally of 747.25 marks a new school record of 12-dives.

Freshman Alex Kreidler completed the Prelims/Quarterfinals of the three-meter dive with a score of 269.25 to place 31st.

For the Minutewomen, junior Salem Howes placed 64th in the one-meter Prelims/Quarterfinals with a total of 199.35, followed by fellow classmate Shreeya Sinha in 68th with a score of 192.55. Freshmen Danielle Guerin (184.85) and Khrystyna Yaremyn (174.95) took 75th and 77th, respectively, in the event.

The 2025 Men's NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships will take place on Wednesday, March 26 through Saturday, March 29, in Federal Way, Washington, hosted by Washington State University, at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center.
