Massachusetts Hockey's Jack Musa Named Semifinalist For 73rd Walter Brown Award

AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts hockey sophomore forward Jack Musa has been named one of 26 semifinalists for the 73rd Walter Brown Award, the Gridiron Club of Greater Boston announced on Monday.
The slate of nominees for the award, which is presented annually to the best American-born college hockey player in New England, includes 19 forwards, three defensemen and four goaltenders.

Bobby Trivigno was UMass' first-ever Walter Brown Award recipient when he earned the honor in 2021 as a junior, he repeated as the Walter Brown winner in 2022.

Musa, a native of Orange Park, Florida, is tied for fifth on the squad in scoring through 27 games with 10 goals and 12 assists and is +13 with one power-play goal and three game winners. He has six multi-point performances on the season, as well.

To date, Musa has appeared in 64 games over his two seasons in Amherst and has logged 51 points on 22 goals and 29 assists with seven power-play goals and is +21 for his career.
