Massachusetts Hockey Reveals 2026-27 Schedule

AMHERST, Mass. – Nineteen home games highlight Massachusetts hockey's schedule for 2026-27, which was announced on Monday.

The Minutemen open their 11th season under head coach Greg Carvel on Friday and Saturday, October 2-3 in Colorado Springs, Colorado at Colorado College.

UMass is slated to host RIT for its home opener on Homecoming Weekend on Friday and Saturday, October 9-10.

The Hockey East slate begins with a matchup against Northeastern at the Mullins Center on Friday, October 16, while the second game of the weekend against the Huskies in Amherst on Saturday, October 17 is a non-league game.

On Saturday, October, 24, UMass will host Stonehill for the first time before wrapping up the month with a home-and-home against Harvard. The set against the Crimson begins in Cambridge on Thursday, October 29 and finishes in Amherst on Friday, October 30.

November opens with a weekend set at Maine for the Minutemen on Friday, November 6 and Saturday, November 7.

UMass will then play home-and-home series with both Boston College (11/13, 11/14) and Providence (11/19, 11/21), each beginning at the Mullins Center.

The Minutemen will host Northeastern on Saturday, December 5, before closing out the semester with a pair against Hockey East champion Merrimack. UMass will head to North Andover to face the Warriors on Friday, December 11 and will close out the 2026 home slate on Saturday, December 12.

For the second time in program history, the Minutemen will travel to the Kwik Trip Holiday Face-Off in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The tournament, which will be held on Tuesday, December 29 and Wednesday, December 30, features Arizona State, Northern Michigan and Wisconsin alongside UMass.

The Minutemen will open up 2027 on the road against Boston University on Friday, January 8 before beginning a six-game homestand when the squad hosts the Terriers on Saturday, January 9.

The stretch in Amherst continues with a pair against Vermont (1/22, 1/23) and single games against Northeastern (1/29) and New Hampshire (1/30) before wrapping up with a Tuesday meeting against UMass Lowell on February 2.

UMass concludes its season series versus UNH on Friday, February 12 (away) and Saturday, February 13 (home) and finishes its three-game slate against UMass Lowell on Friday, February 19 (home) and Saturday, February 20 (away).

The Minutemen will host UConn for their home regular season finale on Thursday, February 25 and will take on the Huskies in Hartford on Saturday, February 27.

UMass will then finish the regular season on Friday, March 5, at Boston College.
