PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The University of Massachusetts women's track and field team sent eight athletes to compete at the Friar Invitational on Friday night. The Minutewomen were led by Elise O'Leary and Rebecca Hartman who finished fifth in the 800m and 5000m respectively. who took fifth in the 800m with a time of 2:10.89.
Highlights from competition:
- O'Leary clocked in with a time of 2:10.89 in the 800m.
- In the 5000m, Hartman finished with a time of 17:23.91.
- Annika Zuschlag and Rebekah James finished sixth and seventh respectively in the 3000m steeplechase.
The Minutemen will have a quick turnaround as they return home for the UMass Commonwealth Invitational on Saturday, April 13th.
