The Minutewomen and Crimson matchup on Saturday, March 30, at 10:30 a.m.
AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts tennis continues its road slate with a trip to Cambridge, Massachusetts, to face in-state rival Harvard on Saturday, March 30, at 10:30 a.m.
Last Time Out
The Minutewomen downed UNC Greensboro, 6-1, last Saturday morning to move to 8-5 overall on the year.
Massachusetts picked up the doubles point with wins at court No. 2 and No. 3. Partners Ella Faessler and Amelia Tye came out on top with a 6-4 win at No. 2, before the duo of Mariana Campino and Renatat Farima clinched the point with a 7-5 triumph at No. 3 doubles.
The Minutewomen kept up their momentum heading into singles play, picking up five more points. Danielle Hack won, 6-2, 6-0 at court No. 1, while Thamonpan Jonglertrakul took down her opponent, 6-4, 6-3, at No. 2. At No. 3 singles, Campino won 6-4, 7-5, while Tye defeated her opponent, 6-4, 6-3 at court No. 4. Compassion Tsai earned UMass' final point of the day, and her first win of the 2024 spring season, with a 6-3, 6-2 victory at court No. 6.
Scouting Harvard
The Crimson are 13-2 overall on the season, including 5-1 at home, and are a nine-match win streak, currently. Harvard is coming off a 4-1 win at LMU, while also earning wins over Cornell, Dartmouth, Furman, Liberty, Boston University, Army, Cal State Fullerton and Long Beach State in its current streak.
