Season Rewind
The Minutemen head to Virginia Beach looking to avenge a 10th place finish at last year's meet. Of those competing, is junior Will Kenney who's had a historic indoor season thus far. The Essex, Mass. native has set three school records, coming in the mile (4:01.48), 5000m (14:06.13), and 3000m (8:05.84). He also has a top-3 1000m performance of 2:25.64. Joachim Ennoo and Joseph Duggan nearly set school records as well. Ennoo's triple jump of 49' 1'' and Duggan's shot put of 54' 8.75" are both good for second all-time at UMass.Â
This season, the Minutemen have had five other athletes etch their name into the record books, including sophomore Godot Gaskins who has the fourth best indoor 200m time (21.86) and fifth best indoor 400m time (48.59), and Nasir Perry who has the fifth best 60m hurdles performance (8.18).Â
After a rewarding cross country season, the distance runners have continued to find success. Along with Kenney, three other Minutemen add their names to the record book. Loeden Rodrigues, Michael Norberg, and Robert Carew all recorded top-8 5000m times this season. Rodrigues sits in fourth (14:21.81) while Norberg (14:27.09) and Carew (14:27.78) are sixth and seventh respectively.
