Men's Track And Field Places Fifth At MAC Outdoor Championships

MUNCIE, Ind. — The University of Massachusetts men's track and field program took fifth place at the MAC Outdoor Championships at the Briner Sports Complex with 101.50 points. 

Highlights from Competition
  • Jason Dejesus, Mark Sten, Nathan Looney and Godot Gaskins combined to run a 40.80 in the men's 4x100m relay, placing fifth overall. The time also ranks second best in men's outdoor program history. 
  • Tyler Medeiros scored in the men's 1500m run final, placing eighth with a time of 3:53.24. Kailas Ciatto (11th) and Alec Carew (12th) placed consecutively with times of 3:58.52 and 4:15.01. 
  • Josh Exantus scored in the men's 110m hurdle final with a time of 14.35, taking fourth place. 
  • Godot Gaskins placed fourth in the men's 400m run finals with a finish of 47.12. Noah Mulligan rounded out the scorers taking eighth place with a time of 48.53. 
  • Jason Dejesus placed eighth in the men's 100m dash finals with a time of 10.72.
  • Corey Sanders placed fifth in the men's 400m hurdles finals with a time of 53.79. Chris Scalia placed eighth with a finish of 55.96. 
  • Godot Gaskins finished in seventh in the men's 200m dash finals with a final time of 21.40. 
  • Collin Catherwood took fourth in the men's 5k with a time of 14:35.99. Riley Cole placed sixth with a finish of 14:36.46, and Liam Ouellette finshed 12th with a time of 15:01.93.
  • Mark StenNoah MulliganChris Scalia and Godot Gaskins ran a total time of 3:11.45 in the men's 4x400m relay, placing fourth. 
  • Matthew Acquah won gold in the men's triple jump with a leap of 51'0.5", securing the title by almost three feet. His jump also sets the men's outdoor program record.
  • Owen Stevens secured bronze in the men's high jump with a clear of 6'6.75". Tory Stuckey placed fifth with a clear of 6'4.75", and Aidan Lee took seventh with a jump of the same height.
