AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts women's basketball team heads to Philadelphia on Saturday for a match up at Saint Joseph's. The Minutewomen and Hawks tip off at 2 p.m. on ESPN+.
Last Time Out
The Minutewomen were defeated by La Salle on Wednesday in the Mullins Center, 63-61. Alexsia Rose tied her career-high in scoring as she finished with a game-high 18 points on 5-of-10 from the field and 8-of-9 from the free throw line. UMass trailed by five at 58-53 with 1:19 to go before Kristin Williams scored eight straight points, including six in 11 seconds to tie at 61-61 with four seconds remaining.
Series History
Saturday's game is the 68th all-time meeting between UMass and Saint Joseph's dating back to the first meeting during the 1977-1978 season. The Hawks hold a 51-16 all-time series lead and a 24-5 mark on their home floor. UMass claimed the last meeting between the two on Jan. 14, 2023, rallying in the fourth quarter to outscore Saint Joseph's by five over the last 10 minutes to win 58-56.

Stefanie Kulesza leads the Minutewomen in rebounds per game at 7.5 and ranks fifth among Atlantic 10 leaders in the category. Kulesza's 166 total rebounds ranks 75th among Division I leaders and sixth in the A-10 while her rebounds per game average is among the top 150 players. The junior set a career mark with 14 rebounds against both Saint Peter's and UMass Lowell and has surpassed 10 rebounds in five games this season.

Kristin Williams scored six points in 11 seconds of game time to help UMass tie at 61-61 in the final moments of Wednesday's game against La Salle. The guard scored 10 of her 15 points in the fourth quarter, finishing 4-of-7 from the field and 2-of-4 from 3-point range over the final 10 minutes.
Tied Career-High
Alexsia Rose tied her career-high in scoring as she finished with 18 against La Salle on Wednesday. It marks the second time this season and fourth time in her career that she's reached 18 points in a game. Rose has eclipsed double figures in scoring in six of her last eight games and is averaging 11.5 points during the span.

Freshman Lilly Taulelei ranks eighth among Atlantic 10 leaders in field goal percentage at .481 on the season. Taulelei has reached a career-high in scoring twice this season with 14 points against both Maryland and Dayton, shooting 6-of-8 from the field against the Terps.
Looking Ahead
The Minutewomen return to the Mullins Center on Wednesday, Feb. 7 for a matchup against Duquesne at 6 p.m. UMass then heads out on the road to the Bronx the following Saturday to take on Fordham at 2 p.m.

UMass' game against Rhode Island on Wednesday, Feb. 14 is the annual Play4Kay game. The Minutewomen will wear special white and pink uniforms and are raising money for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
