Minutewomen Announce 2026-27 Non-Conference Schedule

AMHERST, Mass. – The University of Massachusetts women's basketball program announced its full nonconference schedule for the 2026-27 campaign on Friday, featuring 12 contests, including six home matchups.
The season will begin with an exhibition contest against Boston University in the Mullins Center on Sunday, Oct. 25, with a tipoff set for 6:00pm. It will mark the first time the two programs will meet since Dec. 11, 2019, when the Minutewomen outlasted the Terriers on the road for a 58-45 victory.
UMass opens its regular season slate at home against defending WNIT champions Marshall on Monday, Nov. 2, who last season went 28-9 and 13-5 in conference play, and went 2-0 in both MAC-SBC Challenge contests.
Massachusetts then heads on the road to face Providence on Saturday, Nov. 7, for the first time since the 2021-22 campaign, when UMass earned an 80-62 win on Nov. 23, 2021. The Minutewomen continue on the road to battle against in-state rival Harvard on Wednesday, Nov. 11.
UMass returns to Amherst for a two-game homestand against Central Connecticut on Saturday, Nov. 14 and Army on Tuesday, Nov. 17, before traveling to Chestnut Hill for a matchup against Boston College on Friday, Nov. 20.
The Minutewomen will participate in a multi-team event on Nov. 27-29, with more information to be announced at a later date.
The non-conference schedule rounds out with three of four games at home, beginning by facing Holy Cross on Monday, Dec.7, before traveling to face Rutgers on Wednesday, Dec. 9 – marking the first time in 13 years the Minutewomen and Scarlet Knights will face off.
Two games at home against UMass Lowell (Wednesday, Dec. 16) and UAlbany (Monday, Dec. 21) close out the non-conference slate.
