Women's Basketball Unveils 2026-27 Conference Schedule

AMHERST, Mass. – The University of Massachusetts women's basketball program and the Mid-American announced its 18-game league schedule for the Minutewomen on Wednesday. Tipoff times and television windows will be revealed at a later date and are subject to change.
UMass opens the conference slate on the road against Akron on Saturday, Jan. 2, before returning home for two straight contests against Buffalo on Wednesday, Jan. 6 and Western Michigan on Saturday, Jan. 9.
Following a road trip to Oxford, Ohio to face Miami (OH) on Wednesday, Jan. 13, Massachusetts hosts Kent State (Jan. 16) and Ball State (Jan. 20). January 23 kicks off a stretch of three road games over four contests, facing Central Michigan (Jan. 23) on the road before hosting Akron (Jan. 27). The Minutewomen round out the month with consecutive trips against Ohio (Jan. 30) and Bowling Green (Feb. 3).
The second matchup of the MAC-SBC Challenge is set for Saturday, Feb. 6, with Massachusetts set to travel to an opponent to be named later.
Conference play resumes with a home contest against Eastern Michigan (Feb. 10), then two road games versus Western Michigan (Feb. 13) and Kent State (Feb. 17). After back-to-back contests in the Mullins Center against Toledo (Feb. 20) and Miami (Feb. 24), Massachusetts travels for the final time against Ball State (Feb. 27) and Buffalo (March 3).
Conference play rounds out with a home game against Bowling Green on Saturday, March 6.
Massachusetts is coming off a 23-6 regular-season record in 2025-26 and a 15-3 mark in conference play, which was good for the third seed in the Mid-American Conference Tournament. It marked the first time the Minutewomen eclipsed the 20-win mark since the 2022-23 campaign.

Clear Bag Policy.
To help maintain safe and secure environments at the Mullins Center and McGuirk Alumni Stadium, UMass Athletics has implemented a clear bag policy that limits the size and type of bags permitted inside the venues.
The following bags are permitted:

- Clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags no larger than 14" x 6" x 14"
- Small clutch bags no larger than 5" x 8" (these are not required to be clear)
- All other bags are prohibited but exceptions will be made for medically necessary items and diaper bags or other childcare-related bags, which are subject to inspection upon entry
- There will be no in-venue storage for prohibited bags
