Four Minutemen Find Net as UMass Shuts Out SJU

Ivan Vrh records first career goal, Alex Geczy tallies fifth clean sheet of 2024
AMHERST, Mass. -- The Minutemen (6-2-3, 2-1-0 A10) extended their unbeaten streak to three games on Saturday, besting Saint Joseph's (2-8-1, 0-3-0 A10) in a 4-0 shutout on Alumni Day.
Senior goalkeeper Alex Geczy posted his fifth clean sheet of the season, saving a pair of shots on goal. Ivan Vrh scored his first career goal, adding an assist to Andrew Ortiz who tallied his third strike in two games.

- Aidan Kelly added one final tally to the Minutemen scoring column in the 59th minute, heading a corner kick from Cence into the right side of the net.
- Mazzotta tried to answer in the following run on net, but Geczy was there yet again to make the save and keep Saint Joe's scoreless.
- Both sides slowed in pace in the closing moments of the match, with neither side able to record a shot on goal for the remainder of regulation.
