Massachusetts Women's Track & Field Set Numerous Individual Records At UMass Flagship Invitational

BOSTON, Mass.- The University of Massachusetts women's track and field team hosted the UMass Flagship Indoor Invitational at the TRACK at New Balance on Sunday. Sophomore Megan Frazee led the Minutewomen, as she posted a personal best height of 12' 1.5" in the pole vault. The mark ties her with Nicole Pompei '13 for fourth all-time in program history.

Katelyn Gorgenyi took seventh in the 60m hurdles with a personal best time of 8.91.The mark is good for eighth all-time at UMass.

Marielsa McBride came in second in the high jump with a jump of 5'5".

Jaliyah Burns finished eighth in the weighted throw with a personal best mark of 51' 11".

Merrimack transfer Tess Rancourt set a new personal record in the weight throw with a mark of 40' 6".

Annika Zuschlag set a new mile personal record with a time of 5:20.14.

Ruth Michel and Winnie Sekyaya each set a personal record in the long jump with marks of Long jump 18' 7 Âľ" and 17' 6 ÂĽ" respectively.
The Minutewomen will be back in Boston next weekend as they compete in BU's Battle In Beantown on Saturday, January 20th.
