Women's Track & Field Recognizes Senior Class At Conclusion of Unscored Pre-Championship Invitational

AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts women's track and field closed out the regular season on Saturday with the unscored Pre-Championship Invitational at the UMass Track & Field Complex. Minutewomen posted nine event wins and saw a pair of top-eight all-time program marks set in pole vault.
- Megan Frazee won pole vault with a personal best height of 12 feet, 1.75 inches, good for second all-time in program history. Rose Wagner matched her personal best of 11 feet, 7.75 inches, which stands tied for sixth all-time, to take third. Sophia Casciano was fifth (11'7.75") and Jessica Anderson seventh (11'1.75).
- Natalie Krysta won discus with a throw of 142 feet, 4 inches. Gabriella Pagnini was fifth (128'7"). Pagnini also placed second in shot put (41' 8.5").
- Courtney Rowland took the top spot in high jump, clearing 5 feet, 7 inches. Marielsa McBride captured fourth (5'3") and Madelyn Krohto was seventh (4'11").
- In triple jump, Winnie Sekyaya earned the win, leaping 36 feet, 11.25 inches and Ruth Michel claimed third (35' 3.5").
- Tiarra Deveaux was third in long jump (17'10.5"), Sara Folan and Carolann Cardinale placed fourth (115'3") and sixth (104'7") in javelin, respectively. Voski Armenakyan took seventh in hammer throw (174'3").
- Marielsa McBride won the 400 meter dash in 58.56. Sarah Witt was fifth (59.72).
- Adriana Phan won 100 meter hurdles in 14.75. Alexandra Gonet earned third (14.88) and Jennifer Williams followed in fourth (15.14).
- Lillian Kirry was victorious in 400 meter hurdles in 59.13. Gonet crossed in third (1:05.00).
- Elizabeth Hoenes took the top spot in the 200 meter dash (26.28) and Caroline Mullady crossed in sixth (27.13).
- Faith Richardson placed second in the 100 meter dash in 12.12. Grace Poku followed in fourth (12.45) and Alysia Spencer was eighth (12.87).
- UMass' "A" 4x100 relay of Phan, Alysia Spencer, Sadai Headley-Mawasi and Richardson posted a winning time of 47.93.
- Erin Shipos ran 11:55.09 to second in the 3,000m steeplechase.
- Three Minutewomen placed in the top-eight in the 800 meter run: Aexandra Bettencourt (third, 2:15.16), Jennifer Nadig (sixth, 2:19.47) and Jaden Young (seventh, 2:20.22)
