Kirry Leads Massachusetts Women's Track And Field On Day One Of Black & Gold Invitational

ORLANDO, Fla. - The University of Massachusetts women's track and field team opened up the 2023 outdoor season on Friday at the UCF Black & Gold Invitational.
Highlights from Competition:

Megan Frazee leapt to 7th in the pole vault, clearing 11' 5 ยพ".

Lillian Kirry was the runner-up in the 400-meter hurdles, clocking a 1:00.00 in the event.

Tiarra Deveaux was the top finisher for the Minutewomen in the long jump, leaping 19' 1.5".

Gabriella Pagnini threw 123' 1" in discus for 13th place.

Kathryn Nippert was the first Minutewoman to cross the finish line in the 200 meter dash in 25.14 seconds. Faith Richardson was on her heels, finishing in 25.15 seconds. Their performances were good for 46th and 47th places, respectively.
The Minutewomen will continue competing in the Black & Gold Invitational tomorrow, Sat. March 18, as they wrap up the two-day meet.
