The Minutewomen effort was highlighted by numerous first-place finishes in both running and field events.
KINGSTON, R.I. – The University of Massachusetts women's track and field team wrapped up their regular season indoor slate on Saturday, highlighted by overall strong performances by the Minutewomen.
Highlights from Competition:
- Jordan Lafave was the runner-up in the long jump, leaping 17' 10.25". Tiarra Deveaux (17' 7") and Emery Stamper (16' 10.25") followed in third and seventh, respectively.
- Deveaux was the top finisher for the Minutewomen in the triple jump, leaping 36' 5". Gabrielle Bilong followed closely behind her in fourth place with a 36' 3.5" mark.
- Gabriella Pagnini threw 41' 1.25" in shot put, good for second place in the event.
- Pagnini won the weight throw with a 53' 10" toss, while Voski Armenakyan (48' 2") and Jaliyah Burns (46' 9") followed behind in sixth and seventh places, respectively,
- Five Minutewomen placed in the 60-meter hurdles. Lillian Kirry (8.98 seconds) led the Minutewomen in third, while Alexandra Gonet (9.17 seconds), Jennifer Williams (9.21 seconds), Elizabeth Lee (9.21 seconds), and Megan Frazee (9.43 seconds) finished in fifth through eighth places, respectively.
- Grace Phair won the 1 mile run in 5:11.13, while Sarah Conant followed in fifth place (5:14.53).
- Five Minutewomen also placed in the 400-meter dash. Kathryn Nippert won the 400-meter dash in 57.38 seconds. Sadai Headley-Mawasi (58.57 seconds, third), Daniella Pierre (59.08 seconds, fourth), Caroline Mullady (1:00.31, seventh), and Sarah Witt (1:00.41, eighth) followed.
- Elizabeth Donnelly was victorious in the 500-meter run, crossing the finish line in 1:17.57.
- Alexsandra Bettencourt won the 800-meter run in 2:20.32, with Jaden Young following behind her in sixth (2:23.87).
- Grace Poku won the 60-meter dash, clocking a 7.78 second finish. Alysia Spencer took sixth place in 8.15 seconds.
- The Minutewomen swept the podium in the high jump, with Elizabeth Lodge (5' 5"), Marielsa McBride (5' 3") and Courtney Rowland (5' 3") captured first through third places. Madelyn Krohto claimed sixth place, clearing 5' 1", while Jennifer Williams took eighth place with a 4' 11" leap.
- Rose Wagner leapt 12' 0" for second place in pole vault. Sophia Casciano took third place with a 11' 6.25" leap. Megan Frazee (11' 0.25", sixth) and Jessica Anderson (10' 6.5", eighth) also placed.
- Faith Richardson and Poku went 1-2 in the 200-meter dash, running the race in 25.69 seconds and 26.45 seconds, respectively. Jordan Lafave came in eighth place in 27.34 seconds.
- Amelia Amack won the 3,000-meter run in 10:24.76. Annika Zuschlag followed behind in second place, clocking a time of 10:28.70.

The Minutewomen will return to URI for the Atlantic 10 Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday, Feb. 25 and Sunday, Feb. 26.
