AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts men's basketball team heads out on the road for a Wednesday night matchup at George Mason. The Minutemen and Patriots tip-off at 7 p.m. from EagleBank Arena on ESPN+.

Road Stretch
Wednesday's game marks the start of a stretch of three of the next four games on the road for the Minutemen. UMass also takes on Fordham next Wednesday night on the road before heading to Philadelphia on Saturday, Feb. 11 to take on La Salle.

A-10 Rookie Of The Week x2
RJ Luis earned his second Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors on Monday after averaging 27.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.5 assists in two wins last week for the Minutemen. Luis began the week with a then career-high 23 points to go along with seven rebounds and five assists in a win over Richmond. On Saturday, Luis recorded a new career-high with 31 points and shot 93-percent from the free throw line.

Series With George Mason
Wednesday's game marks the 17th all-time matchup between UMass and George Mason with the Patriots leading the all-time series 5-11. The teams split the two-game series last year with the Minutemen picking up an 83-80 win in overtime on the road in the regular season finale. Noah Fernandes scored a then career-high 28 points on 10-of-19 from the field and 4-of-6 from 3-point range.

Bench Boost
The Minutemen rank eighth nationally and lead the Atlantic 10 in bench points per game at 31.8 led by Dyondre Dominguez's 9.3 points and 7.4 from Isaac Kante. The UMass bench has outscored its opponents in 16 games and has been outscored in just two contests.

Dre's Double-Double
Dyondre Dominguez recorded his first career double-double against Duquesne as he finished with 13 points and a career-high 11 rebounds. The game marked the first double-digit rebound game for Dominguez while he has reached double figures in scoring in 12 games and in five of the last seven.

30 Piece
RJ Luis became the first Minuteman with a 30-point game since Dec. of 2020 as he finished with 31 in the win over Duquesne on Saturday. The performance marked the 99th 30-plus scoring game for a UMass player while the 31 points tied for 64th-most in a game. Luis also went 17-of-18 from the line to mark the third-most made free throws in a game by a Minuteman.

Crashing The Boards
The Minutemen rank 15th in the country and lead the league in offensive rebounds per game at 13.3 and are led by Matt Cross' 2.7 offensive boards per contest (90th nationally). UMass also ranks inside the top-30 nationally at 29th in rebounds per game at 39.0.

They're Free, Right?
UMass converted on 30-of-39 attempts from the free throw line in Saturday's win over Duquesne, led by a 17-of-18 performance from RJ Luis. The Minutemen attempted 32 free throws in the second half and made 25 after going 5-of-7 from the line in the first.

Dr. J Day
The Minutemen host Davidson on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. in the Mullins Center as part of Dr. J Day. The game against the Wildcats is nationally televised on USA Network and will feature the Minutemen in their Cursive U uniforms. The first 500 fans at the game will have an opportunity to secure a Massachusetts Dr. J jersey courtesy of Coca-Cola.
