AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts swimming and diving team is set to head to Dartmouth College on Friday night for the Tate Ramsden Invitational. The two-day meet will begin at 5 p.m. on Friday and resume action at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

Home Sweet Home
The Minutemen and Minutewomen return to action for the final home meet of the season on Saturday, Jan. 28 as they host Fordham. The meet is set to kick off at 1 p.m. at the Joseph R. Rogers, Jr., Pool.

Last Time Out
The Minutemen and Minutewomen swept the Bryant Bulldogs on Saturday, Jan. 7. The Minutemen bested the Bulldogs, 170 to 130, and the Minutewomen were victorious by a score of 182 to 118.

Atlantic 10 Performers Of The Week
Jamie MacDonald, Sammy Quigg, and Shreeya Sinha were selected as recipients of the Atlantic 10 Men's Performer, Men's Rookie, and Women's Rookie of the Week honors, respectively, last week due to the trio's efforts at the team's dual meet wins against Bryant. MacDonald captured first place in the 200-yard butterfly in 1:56.41, as well as in the 200-yard individual medley in 1:57.91, while Sinha took third place in the 3m dive (220.05). Quigg was a member of the first-place 200-yard freestyle relay team (1:26.94), the second-place 200-yard medley relay team (1:36.20), and swam to second place in the 50-yard freestyle (22.11). The freshman also earned third place in the 100-yard freestyle (48.78).

On The Podium
On the diving board against Bryant, Emma Petrovich swept both women's dives, recording a score of 247.80 in the 1m dive and a 256.95 in the 3m dive. Shreeya Sinha took third place with a score of 220.05 in the 3m dive. The Minutemen swept the 1m dive podium, with Andrew Bell taking first place (299.18), and teammates Tommy Cotner (277.58) and Sean O'Dell (257.40) taking second and third places, respectively. Cotner won the 3m dive with a score of 289.35 and Bell followed in second (270.60).

In the 200-yard medley relay, the team of Megan Mitchell, Maggie Desmond, Summer Pierce, and Caroline Mahoney took first in 1:48.10. Desmond also took second place in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 53.95. Lauren Long picked up a third-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:33.74). Minutewomen captured second and third places in both the 100-yard backstroke (Megan Mitchell (57.75) and Bri Williams (59.74)) and the 100-yard butterfly (Pierce (58.34) and Ashley Calderon (59.83)) on the day. Pierce was also runner-up in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:09.79.

The men's squad swept the 100-yard breaststroke, as Jack Artis took first in 59.14, with Sam Haddad (1:00.22) and Freddie Borg (1:00.80) taking second and third places, respectively. The The Minutemen took both second and third places in five events: 50-yard freestyle (Sammy Quigg (22.11) and Grant Beebe (22.15)), 100-yard freestyle (Charles Blanc (48.57) and Quigg (48.78)), 200-yard backstroke (Noah Witt (1:56.94) and Eric Eastham (1:57.49)), 100-yard butterfly (Jake Bailey (52.98) and Beebe (53.01)), and 500-yard freestyle (Emerson Kiefer (4:51.83) and Wilson Dubois (4:52.91)).

Looking Ahead
The Minutemen and Minutewomen will host Fordham at home on Jan. 28 to conclude the regular season slate before heading to the SPIRE Institute for the Atlantic 10 Championships from Wednesday, Feb. 15 to Saturday, Feb. 18.
