Massachusetts Tennis Still Perfect In A-10 Play With 4-0 Win At Saint Joseph’s

The Minutewomen picked up their sixth A-10 victory to remain perfect.
PHILADELPHIA, Pa – University of Massachusetts tennis has maintained a perfect record in the Atlantic 10 Conference with a 4-0 victory over Saint Joseph's University at the SJU Tennis Complex on Sunday morning.
The Minutewomen improve to 14-4 overall, while holding a 6-0 A-10 record, as the win also marks the team's fifth consecutive triumph.
UMass picked up the doubles point with a sweep. Danielle Hack and Thamonpan Jonglertrakul got off to a fast start, winning 6-1 over Amanda Nava and Stow Weiss of Saint Joseph's at No. 1, before the duo of Dylan Cannon and Mariya Krasakova downed Saint Joseph's Paige Conrad and Alex Kramer, 6-0, on court No. 3. On court No. 2, Renata Farima and Anna Napadiy defeated Saint Joseph's partners Emily Elliott and Anna Kirk, 6-1, to secure the point.
In singles competition, Krasakova grabbed the first point, defeating Sophia Amato of Saint Joseph's, 6-0, 6-2 at No. 4. Hack made it a 3-0 match for UMass after winning 6-0, 6-2 over Saint Joseph's Elliott on court No. 3, while Jonglertrakul clinched the match for the Minutewomen with a 6-2, 6-3 victory at No. 5 over Fabiana Tort-Umpierre of Saint Joseph's.
The match came to a halt before courts No. 1, No. 2 and No. 6 finished.
Massachusetts closes out the regular season with an A-10 match against Rhode Island on Saturday, April 23, at 1:30 p.m. The match will either be played indoors at the Bay Road Indoor Tennis Center or outdoors at the Mullins Center Tennis Courts. Weather will be the determining factor.
