Tennis Downs UConn, 4-0, For Fourth Consecutive Win

The Minutewomen improve to 13-4 on the season.
STORRS, Conn. – University of Massachusetts tennis downed the University of Connecticut, 4-0, on Wednesday afternoon at the Tennis Courts to earn its fourth straight triumph. The Minutewomen improve to 13-4 overall on the year with the win.
UConn finished on court No. 1 first in doubles competition, as Julieanne Bou and Leonie Hoppe defeated Danielle Hack and Thamonpan Jonglertrakul, 6-3. Dylan Cannon and Mariya Krasakova took down Caroline Cook and Doga Selen Takunyaci, 7-5, at No. 3, leaving it all to court No. 2. Renata Farima and Anna Napadiy secured the doubles point for UMass, winning 7-6 (4) over UConn's Aleksandra Karamyshev and Isabel Petri Bere.
Krasakova kept it rolling for the Minutewomen, picking up the first singles point on court No. 4 with a 6-1, 6-2 win against Cook of UConn. Napadiy defeated UConn's Karamyshev 6-1, 6-2, at No. 2 singles, before Cannon clinched the match for Massachusetts with a 6-1, 6-3 victory on court No. 6.
The match came to a halt before courts No. 1, No. 3 and No. 5 finished.
UMass visits Atlantic 10 foe Saint Joseph's on Sunday, April 17, for an 11 a.m., match in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
