AMHERST, Mass. – Nine University of Massachusetts hockey games will be broadcast on either NESN or NESN+ as part of Hockey East television package for 2022-23. Five of the Minutemen's home contests and four road matchups are included, the most of any team in the league. In February Hockey East and NESN announced a multi-year extension of the longest partnership in league history, dating back to the founding of both in 1984.
In November, UMass' games at Providence (Nov. 4), at home against Boston University (Nov. 11) and at New Hampshire (Nov. 18) will all air on NESN at 7 p.m. The Minutemen's matchup against UMass Lowell at the Mullins Center on December 3 will be carried on NESN+ at 7 p.m.
Massachusetts' Sunday afternoon meeting with New Hampshire on at 3 p.m. January 15 will be on NESN. Two more January games for the Minutemen will be on NESN+ when UMass hosts UConn (Jan. 20) and heads to UMass Lowell (Jan. 27), both 7 p.m. starts.
The Maroon & White will be on NESN+ on February 3 at Providence and will take on Vermont at home on NESN on February 11 at 7 p.m.
In addition, Hockey East is again set to return to the TD Garden for the men's tournament semifinals and championship, March 17-18 and enjoy its typical exposure on NESN each night. The coverage also includes seven men's playoff games making airwaves on NESN or NESN+. UMass' Frozen Fenway matchup against Boston College on January 7 at 6 p.m. will also air on NESN.
