Ransford Named To Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team

Casey Ransford earned his third consecutive Atlantic 10 All-Academic honor after wrapping up his UMass career with a bronze at the league meet in the 200 Fly.
AMHERST, Mass. - University of Massachusetts swimming and diving senior Casey Ransford was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Academic team as announced by the conference on Wednesday afternoon.
Ransford (Pittsford, N.Y.) earned the academic all-conference honor for the third consecutive year after finishing his career at UMass by taking the bronze medal in the 200 Fly at the Atlantic 10 Championships back in April with a time of 1:48.10 in the finals. Ransford added a pair of top-10 finishes at the league meet as a junior and holds the UMass program record in the 200 Fly with a time of 1:47.57.Â
In order to be nominated for the award, swimmers and divers must have a GPA of 3.0 or better for their entire academic career.
