UMass seeking first conference championship since 2017
PENNSAUKEN, N.J. – University of Massachusetts rowing treks to the Cooper River as the Minutewomen head to the 2021 Atlantic 10 Championships on Sat., May 15. Races will take place on the Cooper River with the Maroon and White looking to claim their 17th A-10 title in program history. UMass last secured the league crown in 2017 as well as 12 years in a row from 1996-2007, then again in 2009, 2014 and 2015.
Live race streaming will be available on ESPN+, and additional information including a full schedule of races is available at Atlantic 10 Championship Central. Per Camden County regulations, Saturday's races will be closed to all in-person spectators.
UMass is making its first appearance at the A-10 Championships under the guidance of head coach Eric Carcich. Carcich is plenty familiar with the conference as the 1996 Massachusetts alumnus led the George Washington rowing program from 2009-18 and was tabbed A-10 Coach of the Year in 2012 and 2013.
