Rowing Places 24 on Academic All-MAC Team

AMHERST, Mass. – Twenty-four members of the UMass rowing team were named to the Academic All-MAC Team on Tuesday, due to strong performances on the water and in the classroom.

To qualify for the Academic All-MAC Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests scheduled or completed in the particular sport. Â First-year students and ANY transfer in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
Â
Among the Minutewomen honorees are two with a cumulative GPA of 4.0, with two others of 3.97 or higher.
Â
The honor follows a recent announcement of 10 student-athletes earning CRCA Scholar-Athlete recognition.
Â
The Minutewomen captured the first-ever MAC Championship in 2026, advancing to the NCAA Championship for the first time since 2017 where the Varsity 8 beat Rhode Island and Jacksonville in the fourth-level final. A young team, UMass returns all 16 in the Varsity 8 and Second Varsity 8 in 2026-27.
