Minutewomen Fall In Overtime At La Salle, 2-1

Macy Graves scored her first collegiate goal in the 82nd-minute for the Minutewomen.
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The University of Massachusetts women's soccer team fell to La Salle 2-1 in overtime in the final match of the regular season on Sunday afternoon. The Minutewomen (9-5-4 Overall, 5-3-2 Atlantic 10) return to action next weekend for the Atlantic 10 Tournament with the bracket set to be announced later on Sunday.
UMass put its two first shot attempts on target in the opening 10 minutes of play on their way to finishing the first half with five shots on target. Olivia Gouldsbury and Lauren Robles each put a pair of shots on frame for a UMass team that finished the day with nine of 12 shot attempts on target.
La Salle took a 1-0 lead in the 53rd-minute on a Haley Gschrey goal for an Explorers team that finished with 18 shots and 10 on target for the day.
Macy Graves put home her first collegiate goal in the 82nd-minute to equalize for the Minutewomen, heading in a cross sent in by Gouldsbury on a corner kick to tie the match at 1-1 and send it to overtime.
UMass attempted the only shot of the first overtime period as both defenses held strong to open up extra time. The Minutewomen found the target on both of their shots in the second overtime period as Chandler Pedolzky and Lauren Smida each fired shots on goal that were saved by La Salle's Jordynn Stallard.
The Explorers fired three shots in the second overtime period and got the game-winning goal in the 108th-minute on a goal by Kelly McGroarty.
