A guide to Thursday's festivities in Buffalo for the Minutemen's national seminal matchup vs. Denver.
Frozen Four Gameday Timeline - National Semifinal - UMass vs. Denver
2:30 p.m. – Frozen Fest Opens
- Free and open to the public, runs from 2:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Located in the Alumni Plaza, at the corner of Perry and Washington Streets next to KeyBank Center.
- Includes interactive games, activities, official NCAA Frozen Four merchandise and take home giveaways from the NCAA Corporate Champions and Partners, Local bands, food and drink available.
3:30 p.m. – UMass Will Call Opens
- Purchased tickets may be picked up in advance of entry.
- Player guests and staff guests must enter the venue once tickets are signed for/picked up.
- Will call is located at the Alumni Plaza Entrance.
5 p.m. – Official Pregame Gathering Begins
- 716 Food and Sport Restaurant (2nd floor) is the site of the official UMass pregame gathering in Buffalo, located at 7 Scott Street, Buffalo, NY.
- UMass giveaways and pompoms will be available (complimentary).
6 p.m. – UMass Pep Rally At Frozen Fest
- The UMass Minutemen Ice Band and Sam the Minuteman will be on the main stage at Frozen Fest for a pregame pep rally.
- Be loud, be proud and show off your Minutemen pride in front of all Frozen Fest attendees
- President Marty Meehan and Director of Athletics Ryan Bamford will also be in attendance. President Meehan will address the crowd.
6:10 p.m. – UMass Hockey Red Carpet Arrival
- Team will arrive at KeyBank Center at 6:10 p.m. and invites all fans to welcome them and cheer them on, as they walk the Red Carpet into KeyBank Center for their FIRST Frozen Four matchup in program history.
8:33 p.m. - National Semifinal, UMass vs. Denver
- Follows first semifinal between Minnesota Duluth and Providence (5 p.m.)
- Televised on ESPN2 and available on WatchESPN, Carried in Canada on TSN 2 (joined in progress), TSN.ca/TSN App
- Radio broadcast on WHMP AM 1400/1240 FM 101.5/107.5, Westwood One and Sirius/XM College Sports Nation, Channel 84
