Saul Named To Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team

AMHERST, Mass. – UMass senior defender Ryan Saul was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team as announced by the conference on Thursday afternoon. The Petersburg, N.J. native started all 17 games for a UMass defense that held opponents to 0.94 goals per contest.

Saul also dished out a career-high five assists on the year, facilitating goals in back-to-back games to open the season including an assist on the game-winning goal at Northeastern in the season-opener. The Master of Public Policy and Administration major picked up two assists in conference play, including one at Duquesne before assisting on the game-winning goal in a 1-0 home win over Saint Joseph's in the season finale.

The Minutemen wrapped up the 2019 campaign by winning three of their final four Atlantic 10 contests to finish in a two-way tie for seventh in the league table.
