Men's Lacrosse Continues Fundraising For Vs. Cancer Foundation

Minutemen surpass $15,000 in total donations raised to support the fight against childhood cancer
AMHERST, Mass. - University of Massachusetts men's lacrosse continues its fundraising effort in support of the Vs. Cancer Foundation as the Minutemen approach their goal of $16,000 raised for the fight against childhood cancer. All proceeds raised will be donated to the Baystate Children's Hospital in Springfield, Mass.
UMass Lacrosse Vs. Cancer is one part of the larger, annual Lacrosse Vs. Cancer fundraiser. The nationwide initiative, with more than 50 scholastic or collegiate programs currently participating in 2019, already holds more than $181,000 raised collectively.
Created by pediatric brain cancer survivor and former collegiate baseball player Chase Jones, Vs. Cancer empowers sports programs, individuals and groups to help kids with cancer. As a signature fundraising campaign of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, Vs. Cancer proceeds help fund child life programs in local hospitals and groundbreaking research to cure pediatric brain tumors, the deadliest childhood cancer.
