The forward from Macomb, Michigan, logged 63 career points over three seasons at St. Lawrence.

AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts hockey has added graduate transfer Jacob Pritchard to its roster for 2018-19, head coach Greg Carvel announced on Wednesday. The forward from Macomb, Michigan, who is eligible immediately, posted 20-point seasons in each of his three years at St. Lawrence.

"We are extremely excited to add a proven offensive threat in Jacob Pritchard to our maturing hockey team," said Carvel. "On a promising young and developing team, Jake will provide tremendous leadership along with consistent offense. Having originally recruited him to and coaching him during his freshman year at St. Lawrence, I know firsthand the quality of the player on the ice and the genuine character he will bring to our culture. I could not be more excited about Jake joining our team or the potential of this year's Minutemen squad."

Over three seasons with the Saints, Pritchard totaled 63 career points on 27 goals and 36 assists and appeared in 96 games. He tied for second on the squad in scoring in 2017-18 with 20 points (9g, 11a) over 29 games, which included 16 points in 20 ECAC games.

Pritchard's career high in points thus far came in his sophomore season at St. Lawrence, logging 22 on nine goals and 13 assists, which included two game winners, three power-play tallies and one shorthanded goal. He co-led the Saints in scoring in conference play that year (2016-17) with 15 points.

As a freshman in 2015-16, Pritchard was named to the media's ECAC All-Rookie Team after finishing tied for fifth overall among ECAC rookies in scoring with 21 points.

A 2017-18 ECAC All-Academic Team member, Pritchard earned his bachelor's degree from St. Lawrence in economics, minoring in statistics and sports studies and exercise science.

Prior to beginning his collegiate career, Pritchard played junior hockey for the Powell River Kings (BCHL) in 2014-15 and won a Clark Cup championship with the Indiana Ice in 2013-14.
