AMHERST, Mass. - Following a tough road loss at Boston University on Wednesday night, the UMass women's basketball team returns to action on Sunday afternoon (2 p.m.) as the Minutewomen host Holy Cross at the Mullins Center. Fans will be treated to free hot cocoa and cookies as the game will feature a Holiday Party theme.

In the loss to the Terriers, UMass (5-6) led after the first three quarters but a late run in the fourth quarter gave Boston University a 64-60 win at Case Gym. For the season, Hailey Leidel leads UMass in scoring with 16.1 points as the second leading freshman scorer in the NCAA and top in the Atlantic 10. Mulligan is just behind at 14.1 points and 12.4 rebounds per game. Holder rounds out the top scoring trio with 13.2 points a contest.

The junior center is one of the most improved players in the nation after seeing her scoring average jump nearly nine points and her rebouning average increase by nearly seven from a year ago.

Among the A-10 leaders, Leidel continues to rank third overall in scoring and leads the conference in three-pointers made (28). The rookie also ranks seventh in steals (2.0). Mulligan is eighth in scoring and third in blocked shots, while fellow junior Leah McDerment is third in the league for assists (5.7/game). Alongside Leidel, Holder is the second-leading rookie scorer in the league and 11th overall while also being tied for seventh in blocked shots (1.4/game).
