Kindvall Named A-10 Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week

AMHERST, Mass. - After winning both diving events last Saturday in a tri-meet with Yale and Brown, junior Trent Kindvall of the UMass men's swimming and diving team has been announced as the Atlantic 10 Men's Performer of the Week.

This marks the third week that a member of the men's program has earned the performer of the week honor from the league after Oliver Wyeth has twice earned the accolade this season.

Kindvall won the three-meter board with a score of 277.60 points as the Minutemen swept the top-three spots. He also won the one-meter event with a score of 267.55 points.

The native of Westminster, Colo., is undefeated on the one-meter board this season with four first-place finishes. His win against Yale/Brown was his first this year on the three-meter alongside a pair of second-place efforts and one third-place mark. He is the defending Atlantic 10 Champion on the three-meter board.

The men's program will have the weekend off before returning to competition next weekend at the Terrier Invitational.
