Men’s Swimming in Fourth after Day Two of Terrier Invite

Kellen Gray wins 100 back to highlight individual performances on Saturday.
BOSTON – Kellen Gray highlighted the individual performances for the UMass men's swimming team on Saturday afternoon with a first-place finish in the 100 back at the Terrier Invitational. The Minutemen remained in fourth-place follow day two of the three-day meet.
Sunday will mark the conclusion of the event with preliminary races beginning at 10 a.m. and finals slated for 5 p.m. at the Boston University Competition Pool.
Overall, UMass had seven different Minutemen finish in the top 10 including a pair in the 100 breast and 100 back events.
Along with Gray's first-place finish of 49.37 seconds in the 100 back, Oliver Wyeth added a fifth-place showing in the event.
In the 100 breast, Al Madden took seventh (57.00 seconds) with Johnny Prindle just behind (58.33 seconds).
Rounding out the individual highlights for UMass was Anthony Rizzo placing eighth in the 400 IM, Panos Androulidakis taking sixth in the 200 free, and Gray adding a 10th place showing in the 100 fly.
The Minutemen also took fifth in the 200 medley relay and the 800 free relay.
