AMHERST, Mass. - The fall schedule comes to a close this weekend as the UMass men's and women's swimming teams will close out the fall portion of the schedule at the Terrier Invitational. The three-day event will begin on Firday, Nov. 18 and conclude on Sunday, Nov. 20. Preliminary races will begin at 10 a.m. with finals slated to start at 6 p.m. each night. Live stats will be available each day at http://sidearmstats.com/bu/swim/.
Both teams have been off since a tri-meet at Brown against the Bears and Yale two weeks ago. The Minutemen won the Colgate Invitational before splitting dual meets against Army and at Boston University.
The men's team has shown strong depthwith 16 top-5 times across all events this season. Included in that is Owen Wright's league-best time in the 50 free of 20.85 seconds. So far this season, Oliver Wyeth has twice been named the league's performer of the week, while diver Trent Kendvall also picked up the honor following the tri-meet with Brown and Yale.Â
Following the Terrier Invitational, the divers will compete at the Bucknell Invitational to close out their schedule before the semester break. Both the swimmers and divers will resume competition in January when the swimmers host Bryant on Jan. 14 and the divers head to the Buffalo Diving Invitational the same weekend.
