October 21, 2016 | Women's Swimming & Diving

Meet at the BU Aquatics Center set for 1:30 p.m. start

AMHERST, Mass. - The UMass swimming and diving teams are back in action on Saturday afternoon as the Minutemen and Minutewomen travel down the Pike to take on Boston University. The meet is set for 1:30 p.m. at the BU Aquatics Center and live results are available online.

This will be the second dual meet for the Minutewomen who are coming off a 171-127 loss to Army last Friday night in Joseph R. Rogers Pool. The Minutewomen did, however, swim their fastest times of the early season in every event but three. Meriza Werenski won three individual events taking first in the 200 free, 200 breast and 200 IM. Ansley Baker continued her strong start to the season with a win in the 100 breast, while Maja Boric and Emma Roush won the one-meter and three-meter dives, respectively.

Boston University defeated the Minutewomen 166-129 last year in Amherst. Boston University is 3-1 this season with wins over Lehigh, Bucknell and Richmond.
